2009 Conference

The 2009 Proceedings are electronic. That is, the proceedings will be on a CD. The CD will have a table of contents.

Proceeding guidelines:

• Deadline for electronic submission is Monday, March 1, 2009.
• Guideliines: pdf file, aof09prcdgs.pdf.

Writing the paper/abstract:

• Professor John Cochrane at the University of Chicago has written a paper entitled "Writing Tips for Ph.D. Students."  The sections are Organization, Writing, Tips for Empirical Work, Presentation, and Conclusion. Suggested reading for anyone submitting a paper to the proceedings or making a presentation at the annual conference. Link.
• Professor Greg Mankiw, Economics Professor at Harvard, Former chair of Council of Economic Advisers 2003 - 2005. Professor Mankiw has a blog. The Saturday, October 7, 2006, topic was How to Write Well. It had numerous writing guidelines. The comments section has a link to Professor Cochrane's writing suggestions. More.
