Keystone Bank Breakfast Series
President Dunn: "The Western Edge "

The first presentation in the 2007-08 Keystone Breakfast Series will feature Dr. John M. Dunn, President of Western Michigan University. His presentation is entitled "The Western Edge." Dunn's presentation will take place in the Dean's Conference Room (Room 2150 Schneider Hall) of the Haworth College of Business on Friday, September 21, beginning at 8 a.m.; complimentary breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Prior to coming to WMU in 2007, Dunn served as interim chancellor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). Before accepting that appointment, he held the position of provost and vice chancellor at SIUC.

An educator for more than 30 years, Dunn was dean of the University of Utah's College of Health before moving to SIUC, holding that post from 1995 to 2002. Before that, he was at Oregon State University for 20 years, last serving as associate provost from 1990 to 1995. Also at Oregon State, Dunn was assistant dean of Health and Human Performance, chair of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science and director of the university's Special Physical and Motor Fitness Clinic.

Dr. Dunn earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Northern Illinois University, and a doctoral degree in physical education from Brigham Young University in 1972.

The Keystone Community Bank Breakfast Speaker Series is underwritten through the generosity of Keystone Community Bank. The series provides an opportunity for the local community to hear prominent business leaders, WMU faculty, alumni, and friends of the College of Business discuss current business issues, corporate strategies as well as key information regarding the continuing progress of the business college.

Parking for this event will be available in the Fetzer Center parking lot.  Please RSVP to the Office of the Dean at 269.387.5050 or by Email .
